T 26/27 - SPECIAL ED TEACHER (Oakridge)
About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher position at Oakridge Elementary School. The teacher implements instructional programs tailored to students’ needs, interests, and abilities; maintains a safe and orderly learning environment; communicates with parents and guardians; maintains accurate student records; collaborates with school administrators, teachers, instructional assistants, families, and community members; monitors and assesses student achievement; and attends professional learning and meetings. Salary is based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule, with a T-Scale range of $56,458–$144,723.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Special Education endorsement.
- Teaching experience in special education.
- Knowledge of best instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in another content area.
