The Special Accounts Representative (Collections) performs member servicing and collections work for delinquent loan and negative share accounts. The role uses computerized systems to verify members, contacts members by phone and mail, analyzes borrowers’ financial situations, and takes appropriate steps to bring accounts current. When repayment arrangements are unsuccessful, the representative recommends further action. The position also maintains accurate collection files and reports, informs a supervisor of loan underwriting trends that contribute to delinquent or charged-off loans, and regularly files loan and collection documents. The representative completes annual BSA/AML compliance training and periodic training on policy and procedure updates. This is an onsite position, not remote or hybrid. Work takes place in a climate-controlled shared office area with standard office noise and minimal temperature fluctuation. The role involves telephone, some video-call, and in-person interactions with members and coworkers. Employees are expected to sit, stand, stoop, and walk, and must be able to lift 10 pounds. Employment offers are contingent on completing a background check.
