About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant supports patients throughout their telemedicine remote eye exam and eyewear experience. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable about eye health and preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. They guide patients through the process and help ensure their eye exam and eyewear needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with remote eye exam processes and serve as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with important patient information.
- Transition the patient from the doctor to the sales floor and give associates information to help educate patients and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
- Support daily store operations and patient experience goals by maintaining the exam lane, restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
