About The Position
A Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) supports patients throughout their telemedicine remote eye exam and eyewear experience. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable about eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. They guide patients through the experience, helping ensure their eye exam and eyewear needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist with remote eye exam processes and act as a liaison between patients and telemedicine remote physicians.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce patients to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and share relevant information with associates so they can recommend products and services suited to the patient's eye care needs.
- Support daily store operations and patient experience goals by maintaining the exam lane, restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
