About The Position

MasterWord is seeking experienced Spanish-English interpreters for a freelance opportunity serving the Lancaster County market. Interpreters help people with limited English proficiency communicate with organizations and make a positive impact in their local community. Assignments are in person, and the interpreter must be able to commute within Lancaster County. MasterWord provides language access solutions in settings such as healthcare facilities, schools, courtrooms, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and businesses.

Requirements

• Formal or professional interpretation experience.
• High-level fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to commute for in-person assignments within the Lancaster County market.

Nice To Haves

• At least a two-year degree, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; alternatively, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Healthcare industry experience, such as pharmacy, nursing home, hospital, hospice, patient technician, nursing practicum, pharmaceutical representative, CNA, LVN, RN, or hospital volunteering.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between Spanish and English for people with limited English proficiency during in-person assignments.
• Commute to assignments within the Lancaster County market.
