About The Position
The company is seeking fluent Spanish and English speakers to provide in-person interpretation in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Interpreters help people with limited English proficiency and make a positive difference in their local community. The opportunity offers flexibility in work hours. For a special interpreting project, interpreters must meet vaccination, background-check, and medical-clearance requirements. Paid in-person training lasts 4–5 days.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Informal or professional interpretation experience.
- For the special interpreting project: flu and COVID vaccinations, state background checks, and medical clearance.
Nice To Haves
- At least a two-year degree, or equivalent education, experience, training, or a combination thereof.
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required; examples include pharmacy, nursing home, hospital, hospice, patient technician, nursing-program practicum, pharmaceutical representative, CNA, LVN, RN, or hospital volunteering.
