About The Position
The role is for a fluent Spanish-English interpreter providing in-person interpreting in Fort Collins, Colorado. The opportunity is intended for individuals who want to support people with limited English proficiency and make a positive impact in their community. Work-hour flexibility is offered. For a special interpreting project, the position requires flu and COVID vaccinations, paid in-person training lasting 4–5 days, state background checks, and medical clearance.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Informal or professional interpretation experience.
- For the special interpreting project: flu and COVID vaccinations, state background checks, and medical clearance.
Nice To Haves
- At least a two-year degree, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; alternatively, six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required, such as experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist, in a nursing home, hospital, hospice, or patient technician role; nursing-program practicum hours; pharmaceutical representative experience; CNA, LVN, or RN experience; or hospital volunteering.
