About The Position

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Spa Assistant Manager to oversee front desk operations and staff, support a positive guest experience, and coordinate with other departments. The role includes scheduling Guest Service Agents, managing inventories of spa and operating supplies, maintaining an organized and clean spa desk, promoting spa services, responding to guest and member inquiries, and ensuring compliance with Peninsula, Forbes, and Head Office standards and requirements. The position is based at The Peninsula Chicago, a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property in Chicago.

Requirements

• Three years of spa desk experience in a luxury property is ideal.
• Ability to handle a high level of work demand and pressure.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Must have work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PMS/Opera.
• Some knowledge of the rooms department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations and staff to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Schedule Guest Service Agents.
• Complete weekly and monthly inventories of personal care, professional, guest and operating supplies, linen, locker room supplies, office supplies, and beverage station supplies.
• Ensure the spa desk is clean and organized, and coordinate efforts between departments.
• Promote spa services and activities; respond to member and guest inquiries or direct them to appropriate information sources.
• Adhere to Peninsula and Forbes standards and maintain consistent performance in accordance with those standards.
• Communicate with all departments to create a guest-centric experience.
• Comply fully with Head Office database requirements.
