About The Position

Xometry is seeking a Sourcing Associate to support its expanding group of global Partners and Customers. The role works cross-functionally to provide service functions that help create a frictionless order experience for both the Partner Network and customers. The Sourcing Associate identifies and implements solutions for challenging and complex orders, collaborating with internal teams, engaging Xometry’s partner network, and working with customers to develop recovery plans. Success requires creativity, attention to detail, strong communication, flexibility, and a focus on finding solutions for each part.

Requirements

• Be detail-oriented and a problem solver, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong desire to learn and grow within the company and the position.
• Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and basic Internet navigation skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Solidworks, Salesforce, Looker, and mechanical print interpretation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Initially triage orders to uncover potential manufacturing issues, including tolerances, design limitations, and material availability.
• Identify alternative sourcing strategies.
• Cultivate network relationships and proactively communicate capacity gaps and constraints across the network.
• Work cross-functionally to devise recovery strategies for assigned orders.
• Be accountable for sourcing KPIs, including margin and time to resolution.
