About The Position

Sylvamo’s Global Sourcing Associate Program is an entry-level program focused on procurement operations. It provides exposure to the company’s procurement strategy and purchasing processes, from corporate category sourcing through implementation and ongoing support at manufacturing locations. The program is designed to prepare associates for placement in a manufacturing or corporate sourcing role at a North America location. Associates begin with an 18-month development assignment at a paper mill or corporate office in the United States. During the assignment, they build foundational knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing processes and the integrated supply chain supporting mill operations. With guidance from managers and team members, they complete purchasing and/or storeroom assignments and receive training in purchase order management, competitive bidding, negotiation, contract development, data analysis, materials management, and inventory optimization. Associates are assigned to one U.S. location for the duration of the program. They may indicate location preferences, but final placement depends on availability. After completing the program, associates may apply for permanent roles at North America locations.
