About The Position

The Sorter is responsible for separating various types of commingle or fiber recyclables and ensuring the quality and purity of the material. The role operates equipment according to its O&M manual, checks material for quality and conformity, removes non-recyclable material and trash from the line, and places it in proper containers. The position also requires general housekeeping, compliance with company safety regulations, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions.
• Professional attitude and conduct.
• Multitasking, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.

Responsibilities

• Separate various types of commingle or fiber recyclables.
• Ensure the quality and purity of the material.
• Operate equipment in accordance with the O&M manual.
• Check material for quality and conformity.
• Separate non-recyclable material and trash from the line and place it in proper containers.
• Keep up with general housekeeping.
• Obey all company safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
