Ushering in an exciting new era of dining and entertainment experiences complemented by world class design and signature style, the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, is unveiling a series of exceptional food and beverage venues slated to open this December – a glamourous Supper Club, chic Lobby Café, and a world-class Hotel Bar. These new outlets will showcase a variety of culinary concepts and elevated cocktail moments enhanced by live entertainment. Join a historic legacy and lead the first major transformation of The Beverly Hills Hotel since the 1940s. As a part of this landmark expansion, you will help to bring these captivating new outlets to life. This rare opportunity invites you to bring fresh, modern flair to the "Pink Palace," blending the hotel’s timeless heritage with forward momentum to maintain its enduring relevancy and set a new benchmark in luxury hospitality.

Requirements

• English is the primary language used in our hotel. Our Sommeliers must feel comfortable communicating in this language.
• You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
• Attention to detail is critical for this role.
• Our Sommeliers are our biggest champions of working together.
• This requires flexibility from everyone on the team.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Building and managing The Supper Club's wine program from the ground up, crafting a thoughtfully composed list that reflects the exclusivity and caliber of the dining experience we are creating.
• Guiding guests through the wine list with confidence, expertise and genuine passion, offering pairings and recommendations that elevate the dining experience and feel personal rather than prescriptive.
• Meeting discerning and knowledgeable guests at their level, handling special requests, rare selections and bespoke pairing experiences with discretion and mastery.
• Preventing and correcting imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up in luxury hotels, reporting these and working with other positions to correct.
• Working closely with outlet management, the culinary team and the service staff to ensure the wine program is seamlessly aligned with the overall dining experience from day one.
• Representing The Beverly Hills Hotel with pride, always upholding the principles, goals and policies of The Beverly Hills Hotel Pledge.
