Solutions Engineering Manager

Liberate
•$210,000 - $240,000

About The Position

Liberate is hiring a player-coach Solutions Engineering Manager for its go-to-market team. The manager owns the technical side of the presale process for their own deals, from initial discovery through signature, while managing a small team of Solutions Engineers. The role combines customer-facing technical consulting with team leadership: the manager sets standards for discovery, demos, and scoping, coaches the team, and participates in customer work each week. For individual deals, the manager conducts technical and security discovery, builds and delivers tailored demos, helps customers define solution fit and scope, leads functional and technical workshops, and owns solution design and statements of work through approval and signature. The role also owns RFP, procurement, and security questionnaire responses, as well as integration and architecture documentation. After signature, the manager hands deals to the Deployment team and scopes new use cases and later phases with the account owner. As a people leader, the manager coaches Solutions Engineers, establishes the team's standard for technical discovery, owns the interview bar and screening process for candidates, and runs the team's operating cadence. The manager also balances deal coverage across the team and raises capacity issues early. Compensation is $210,000–$240,000 base, plus variable compensation and equity.
