Solutions Engineer

Flowcode•New York, NY
•$135,000 - $155,000

About The Position

Flowcode is building offline-to-online infrastructure that helps major brands create personalized real-world consumer experiences and connect those interactions to first-party customer data through Flow ID. The Solutions Engineer is the technical backbone of the enterprise business, partnering with large clients and internal Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to turn business goals into technical implementations. The role contributes both before deals close—through discovery, demos, and scoping—and after close, through onboarding, implementation, and customer activation. It offers varied work and early ownership in a high-trust team. The Solutions Engineer leads technical pre-sales and enterprise onboarding, integrates Flowcode with customer marketing and data systems, and advises on API, MCP server, SSO, and tracking implementations. The role also develops reusable code, tooling, templates, apps, playbooks, and documentation; supports migrations and custom partner experiences; and translates customer needs and engineering constraints between customers and internal teams. The position brings recurring implementation patterns and customer feedback to Product and Engineering to inform product improvements.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical client-facing role such as Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Implementation Engineering.
  • Comfort running live demos and handling technical questions in real time.
  • Strong experience building with AI, APIs, and MCP servers and advising on their implementation.
  • Experience creating reusable prompts, skills, artifacts, workflows, and automations, and using AI in daily work; ability to verify AI output, evaluate its impact on time or quality, and share learnings.
  • Ability to explain complex integrations to non-technical marketing stakeholders and debug API or integration issues with engineers.
  • Ability to build repeatable solutions with code; Python, SQL, and JavaScript/TypeScript are core languages.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, gRPC, agentic AI tools, webhooks, and marketing pixels.
  • Understanding of data flows between CRM, CDP, and marketing automation systems, such as HubSpot and Braze, and of how to use AI in the process.
  • Understanding of data privacy, including GDPR and CCPA, and security concepts such as encryption and multi-tenant environments; experience with security questionnaires or compliance reviews.
  • Experience with SAML/SSO and identity-resolution concepts, including persistent IDs, Snowflake data sharing, and data-activation platforms.
  • High autonomy and ownership, comfort working in the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup, and a strong focus on customer outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SaaS, MarTech, or AdTech.
  • Experience with Go, Java, or C#.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead on pre-sales opportunities by joining discovery and customer calls, answering technical and product questions, building demos with realistic data, and scoping integrations and strategic opportunities with Product and Strategy.
  • Complete vendor security and privacy questionnaires, SSO questionnaires, and RFPs, coordinating supporting materials with Engineering and Security.
  • Lead technical onboarding for enterprise clients and integrate Flowcode with marketing and data systems such as CRMs, CDPs, ESPs, Snowflake, and analytics tools.
  • Set up and support enterprise SAML SSO by gathering requirements, partnering with Data Engineering, and answering customer questions during activation.
  • Advise customers on API and MCP server implementations, including high-volume and bulk API use cases; write scripts and code to adjust configurations, update events, and solve customer problems.
  • Support marketing pixel and event-tracking implementations, including intake, pixel installation and configuration, conversion-event validation, and debugging across Shopify, tag managers, and server-to-server setups.
  • Migrate customers from the self-service product and existing client implementations to the Enterprise platform, building and enhancing reusable tooling.
  • Build modular custom templates and apps, including digital business cards, wallet passes, and landing-page experiences; scale them across the product and deliver custom experiences with technical partners.
  • Triage and answer internal and client-facing technical questions, and create playbooks and technical documentation.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear technical requests and explain engineering constraints to customers and account teams.
  • Identify recurring integration requests, API gaps, documentation issues, and repeated workarounds; document examples and partner with Product and Engineering on improvements.
