About The Position

The Solutions Engineer I serves as the customer advocate within Konica Minolta Sensing Americas (KMSA), developing applications for consumer electronics manufacturers using Konica Minolta and Radiant technology. The role engages potential and existing customers in person, by email, and by phone to understand measurement needs and application challenges, recommend existing technologies or help define requirements for new development, and coordinate with Sales on quotes. This is an entry-level position guided by senior Solutions Engineers. The engineer builds knowledge of KMSA products, customer applications, industry standards, and relevant industries, gradually taking greater ownership of proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept testing. The role involves pre-sales technical assistance, technical proposal development, experiment design and testing, customer application troubleshooting, and programming/API support where applicable. It also coordinates handoffs to Engineering, communicates customer insights to Product Management, documents solutions and lessons learned, and supports programs through development and production to help ensure customer commitments and specifications are met. The position calls for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams, sound judgment in identifying and escalating risks, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. AI tools are expected to be used to support work such as test development, data analysis, reporting, and documentation, while verifying generated output and protecting confidential information. Travel is approximately 30%, domestic and international. The stated base pay range is $95,000–$110,000 DOS/E. Compensation may vary based on experience and other factors. Konica Minolta Sensing Americas describes itself as providing measurement instruments and software for color, brightness, light, display performance, and visual quality across industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, lighting, consumer products, and manufacturing.
