About The Position

PERI’s Solutions Engineer supports PERI USA with advanced engineering knowledge and experience. The role develops solutions using 2D and 3D CAD skills, including non-standard elements, and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales while allocating tasks to TSO when appropriate. The Solutions Engineer also performs other engineering duties as assigned.

The position proposes and designs solutions using PERI systems, prepares layouts and material lists, and produces accurate assembly drawings and supporting documentation. It coordinates resources and project delivery against agreed scope and schedules, works with Senior Solutions Engineers and Sales Engineers to clarify project requirements, and engages internal departments and external customers on goals and timelines. The role also maintains technical records of designs and serves as a liaison across departments to resolve technical bottlenecks and support smooth project handoffs.

PERI offers a competitive benefits package. The allocated annual salary range is $68,000 to $78,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience and the professional, methodological, and soft skills required for the Solutions Engineer role.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to work with multiple software programs.
• Advanced application engineering knowledge of PERI systems.
• Ability to coordinate complex tasks, manage scope and schedule, and delegate and assign tasks to TSO.
• Ability to perform advanced engineering calculations; propose alternate or custom solutions; and check and track details and changes.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with engineering tools and processes, including 2D and 3D CAD design and drafting.
• Attention to detail, including reviewing work for errors, following instructions, proofreading, and maintaining accurate records.
• Time-management skills, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, demonstrating urgency, and managing time efficiently.
• Critical-thinking skills, including analyzing information, making sound decisions based on facts and experience, solving problems, forming reasoned judgments, and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Propose design solutions using most of PERI’s systems.
• Create accurate and complete 2D/3D layouts of PERI systems when necessary and when delegation to TSO is not appropriate.
• Coordinate resources and ensure project delivery meets agreed scope and schedules.
• Work with Senior Solutions Engineers and Sales Engineers to ensure projects are understood in scope and schedule.
• Design and calculate proposed solutions to meet project goals and PERI USA profitability.
• Work with Engineers and Designers to produce detailed, accurate assembly drawings for customers and internal assembly functions, with associated material lists.
• Create layouts and materials lists where appropriate.
• Meet with internal departments and external customers regarding project goals and timelines.
• Retain technical documentation of solution designs, including specifications, configuration details, and lessons learned from completed projects.
• Liaise between departments to coordinate resources, resolve technical bottlenecks, and ensure smooth handoffs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
