About The Position

CTG is seeking a Solution Architect I for a remote opportunity with our client. This role supports enterprise technology initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across hybrid infrastructure environments, including Azure cloud and co-location data centers. The Solution Architect I will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, engineering teams, Agile delivery teams, and technical stakeholders to create solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards. This role focuses on hybrid infrastructure architecture, cloud strategy, scalability, reliability, automation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years.
  • Experience with solution architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and software architecture principles.
  • Experience supporting software or service engineering and delivery.
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Experience researching and applying modern technology trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support comprehensive technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives.
  • Translate enterprise infrastructure designs into detailed solution guidance for hybrid cloud and data center environments.
  • Provide architecture support for Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide architecture support for Cloud/on-premises integration and workload placement strategies.
  • Provide architecture support for Networking, platform integration, and secure connectivity.
  • Provide architecture support for Scalability, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Provide architecture support for High availability, disaster recovery, and resilience patterns.
  • Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including Observability, monitoring, telemetry, and operational readiness.
  • Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including SLIs/SLOs and reliability-focused design.
  • Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including Infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Partner with engineering teams throughout the SDLC, from solution design through production deployment.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Assist with architecture governance, standards development, and solution compliance reviews.
  • Identify technical risks and communicate recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
