Software QA Engineer
About The Position
VIAVI Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and self-starting Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join its enterprise software development team. This technical role is responsible for the overall quality assurance function for integrating multiple VIAVI products and requires technical and organizational skills to work across different teams, locations, and products. The role involves planning and coordinating testing for product releases, conducting test execution, developing test automation agents, and maintaining lab equipment and networks used for product validation. VIAVI makes equipment, software, and systems for planning, deploying, certifying, monitoring, and optimizing networks, and provides high-performance thin-film optical coatings and engineered diffusers for several markets. The company emphasizes customer success, collaboration, and developing solutions that delight customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, including test automation.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Experience with test automation tools such as JMeter, Selenium, Playwright, or AI Agents.
- Experience with end-to-end testing involving external interfaces.
- Experience with capacity and scalability testing.
- Familiarity with standard software development tools and scripting languages for test automation design and development.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
