Software Engineering Internship, Test & Automation (Summer 2027)
About The Position
Apex is seeking a software engineering intern to work closely with its broader engineering team and contribute to satellite platform testing. During the 12-week internship, the intern will own a project from start to finish, with the opportunity to make a significant impact. Projects may span Ground Support Equipment and Flight Hardware and involve design, analysis, building, and testing. Interns receive a dedicated mentor, participate in aerospace learning sessions, and connect with peers and industry professionals through community events. Apex manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing. Its spacecraft support applications including Earth observation and communications. The internship is intended to provide hands-on experience and professional growth while contributing to the company’s mission of expanding access to space.
Requirements
- Be graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Currently pursue a BS or MS degree in a related field.
- Have a strong understanding of software architecture.
- Be proficient in Python.
Responsibilities
- Own a project from start to finish that impacts Apex’s satellite platform testing system.
- Work on projects that may span Ground Support Equipment and Flight Hardware.
- Perform project design, analysis, building, and testing.
- Work closely with the broader engineering team and learn from a dedicated mentor.
