About The Position

T-Mobile is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for an 11-week paid learning experience focused on Kubernetes and containers. The intern will work alongside experienced platform engineers on T-Mobile’s Tier 0 technology infrastructure, which includes approximately 500 Kubernetes clusters across on-premises data centers and AWS and Azure public cloud environments. The platform supports mission-critical IT applications and services, with an emphasis on availability, security, scalability, resilience, automation, and operational excellence. The intern will contribute to projects involving AI-powered automation, intelligent monitoring, and self-healing solutions. Work may use Generative AI, Python, Kubernetes APIs, and other cloud-native technologies to simplify cluster operations, speed up troubleshooting, improve observability, and increase platform reliability and efficiency. Interns will receive hands-on project experience, training, mentorship, and opportunities to collaborate with other interns, leaders, and engineers. Applicants must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future, and have at least one course remaining in a bachelor's or graduate degree program after the internship. Current T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile employees are ineligible for external Summer Internships. Relocation assistance is available to program participants residing more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $27 to $50 per hour, with actual pay based on education and STEM versus non-STEM designation.
