About The Position

T-Mobile’s Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship is an 11-week paid learning experience involving real projects, training, mentorship, and opportunities to build relationships with interns and company leaders. Interns work alongside T-Mobile employees and are paired with a senior developer mentor to shadow and assist with software development.

The work focuses on preparing data for AI by understanding its origins, trustworthiness, sensitivity classification, and certification for use; managing privacy consents for customer data used to improve the network and provide personalized experiences; and supporting near-real-time architecture and platform delivery for streaming data and real-time intelligence. Interns work directly with stakeholders to capture requirements and develop solutions supporting T-Mobile’s vision for data and AI-enabled business insights.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
• Must have one or more courses remaining in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program after the internship.
• Passion to learn; no credentials are required.
• T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile employees are ineligible for external summer internships; they are directed to the Magenta Accelerator program.

Nice To Haves

• Personal or pre-college development experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist with software development under the guidance of an assigned senior developer mentor.
• Work directly with stakeholders to capture requirements related to business pain points.
• Develop solutions supporting the organization’s vision for data and AI-enabled business insights.
• Design, document, develop, and test software solutions.
• Contribute to work involving AI-ready data, customer privacy consents, streaming data, and real-time intelligence.
