About The Position

Fidelity's full-time, paid, 10-week internship program offers students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, real-world work and projects as valued members of a dedicated team. These internships are located in Boston, MA | Durham, NC | Westlake, TX. Selected applicants will be required to complete a skills assessment in either Java or Python before progressing to the interview stage. The program includes professional & financial development sessions, mentorship, regional events, and learning by building with a focus on AI-Native Development.

Requirements

Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Demonstrated interest in software development through coursework, technical projects, research, or internships.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning new technologies.
Current undergraduate student who will return to coursework following the internship.
Availability for the entire 10-week internship program.

Responsibilities

Build software applications and features using modern programming languages, databases, APIs, and front-end technologies while contributing to active business initiatives.
Work on real projects across the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Write, test, debug, and deliver code while leveraging modern development tools, automation, and CI/CD practices.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, product teams, and business partners to solve complex technical challenges.
Explore innovative technologies, including AI tools, and learn how to apply them responsibly.
Develop technical, professional, and interpersonal skills while working alongside experienced technologists.
