About The Position

The Software Engineer will act as a backend developer supporting a large-scale, innovative project involving the design, implementation, deployment, and high-performance tuning of large datasets in graph databases. The work supports unique visualizations that show customer mission impact. The engineer will collaborate with analysts, operators, and other software engineers to build and maintain constantly changing and growing datasets, and will write efficient graph retrieval and analytic traversal queries to answer customer questions and surface critical insights. All positions require an active clearance; this position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

Expertise with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#.
Strong experience with build environment tools such as Gradle or Maven.
Experience with service containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Git.
Eight years of experience, a B.S. in a technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of a B.S.
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Nice To Haves

Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j.
Experience modeling data and relationships in graph databases.
Expertise in high-performance tuning of graph databases.
Experience with networking concepts, protocols, and analysis, including routers and switches.
Knowledge of SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.

Responsibilities

Create new datasets to store in an existing platform.
Build extract, transform, and load services.
Work with stakeholders to understand the domain and elicit requirements to form and enhance the overall solution.
Design, implement, deploy, and tune large datasets in graph databases.
Build and maintain changing and growing datasets in collaboration with analysts, operators, and software engineers.
Write efficient graph retrieval and analytic traversal queries to answer customer questions and surface critical insights.
