About The Position

Mirage is an AI video company building multimodal agents, video rendering technology, and generative video models. Its products include Captions, a workspace for generating, editing, and designing video; Tesseract, which gives AI agents video-editing capabilities; and APIs that let developers integrate Mirage models into their products. Backend engineering at Mirage spans product, platform, and machine learning. The role builds and operates the systems, services, APIs, infrastructure, and ML pipelines that power Mirage’s products. The engineer will own critical backend systems end-to-end and partner with product, design, client, and AI teams to turn ideas into reliable, scalable production systems. Mirage is hiring engineers who have operated at senior or staff-plus scope, although it does not use hierarchical titles or levels internally. Most roles require in-person work at Mirage’s New York City headquarters in Union Square. Benefits listed apply only to full-time employees.
