About The Position
Join Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, which supports Apple’s global technology systems and services. AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) brings together data, application development, machine learning—including generative AI—data services, and customer success to help IS&T build solutions efficiently and expand the adoption of generative AI. As a Framework Software Engineer, you will build tools and features for data and machine-learning platforms, including data processing, insights portals, data observability, data lineage, model hubs, and data visualization. You may build custom solutions from the ground up or customize open-source products for Apple’s needs. The role involves developing innovative tools and frameworks that extend the functionality of third-party business intelligence tools through APIs. The position calls for collaborative problem-solving and producing high-quality software under tight deadlines and constraints.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java and/or Python.
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience designing and developing scalable, performant microservices and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications or products.
- Working experience with big data technologies and data platforms.
- Prior experience in AI, machine learning, or data science.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with distributed computing technologies.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
