About The Position

Join Apple’s security engineering team in the AI & Data Platforms organization, helping enable secure AI platforms. You will conduct application security assessments, provide security guidance to engineering teams, and build agentic capabilities to transform and accelerate security assurance. The role assesses platform and product security risks through security architecture reviews and testing of modern application stacks deployed in the cloud. You will document detailed risk assessments and remediation guidance for developers and business owners, and develop automated tooling that leverages AI to optimize security scanning and testing in close partnership with other security engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related engineering field.
• 10 years of experience in security engineering, specializing in security testing of modern application technology stacks and designing and implementing preventive and detective security controls.
• Experience security testing one or more public cloud services, such as AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Linux and macOS environments.
• Ability to explain networking concepts, including routing, ACLs, load balancers, SSL/TLS, and TCP, to provide application architecture feedback.
• Background in web application development and/or code auditing.

• Experience developing offensive and automation tools.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, including SAST and DAST.
• Experience leveraging AI/LLMs for security testing and automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container security.
• Experience with common authentication protocols.
• Knowledge of emerging security risks associated with AI technologies and mitigating controls.
• Ability to work independently and a track record of leadership, innovation, responsibility, and creative thinking.
• Experience developing detailed security assessment reports and leading junior engineers and contractors.
• Experience leveraging and customizing open-source projects.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD frameworks.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with multifunctional technical and business teams.
