Senior Software Engineer, AI & Data Platforms (AiDP)
About The Position
As a Software Engineer on Apple’s AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) data services team, you will build database managed services and a data streaming platform that support critical Apple business use cases. You will collaborate with database engineering teams and internal stakeholders to develop these solutions. AiDP brings together data, application development, machine learning—including generative AI—data services, and customer success to help IS&T build solutions efficiently and advance the adoption and integration of generative AI across Apple. The role is for a passionate software engineer experienced in building cloud-based data engineering solutions. You will influence platform tools, APIs, and architecture, and work closely with internal teams to deliver a high-quality product in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience with Python or Go.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AliCloud.
- Production experience with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with REST or gRPC API development.
- Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and parallelism.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
