About The Position
The Enterprise Systems team at Apple, part of IS&T, is responsible for the technology behind Apple's SAP environment and its modernization through the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. This team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment, which supports Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems. The SAP Technology team within Apple manages a large set of SAP systems, some of the biggest and busiest in the world, supporting critical business functions. This team is the technical owner of SAP landscapes, primarily responsible for system scalability, availability, performance, infrastructure security, and software life cycle management. They are looking for a hands-on candidate with intellectual curiosity, deep knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and the ability to recommend and implement best SRE/DevOps methodologies, along with creative problem-solving skills for complex issues.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE, build/release/deployment automation.
- 5 years of experience in improving CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.
- 5 years of experience in designing and building CI/CD pipeline with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- 5 years of experience in Oracle database and PL/SQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of experience in Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis and other in-memory technologies.
- Experience with MongoDB, Other NoSql databases.
- Good understanding of micro-services architecture.
- Experience with container based technologies such as EKS, GKE, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge on AWS services including VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Route53.
- Demonstrated ability to write programs using a high-level programming languages or scripting, such Java, JS, Python, Shell etc.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex Unix/Linux systems environment and applications implementations.
- Experience with logging infrastructure and using tools such as Splunk.
- Ability to build tools from scratch when needed.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating across many participating teams.
