About The Position
Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to assist with daily responsibilities and develop software supporting the mission to protect the country. The company emphasizes timely delivery, engineering quality, and continuous innovation. This position is open to direct hires only; candidates from third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph. The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or qualifying substitute experience.
Requirements
- Currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Have seven years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or substitute four years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes for the degree.
- Experience with Java.
- Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, or similar tools.
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and workflow.
- Product-result-driven approach and problem-solving ability.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with Maven.
- Experience with Git or GitLab.
- Experience with MapReduce.
- Experience with JUnit testing and code coverage.
- Experience with Python and streaming capabilities.
- Experience with Linux.
