About The Position

The entry level developer will be responsible creating, and maintaining web applications utilizing C#, MVC, .NET, Progress Telerik Kendo UI, Telerik Reporting, TSQL, and Entity Frameworks. The developer will create workflows and wireframe mockups, SQL databases, code the implementation, work with users in User Acceptance Testing, create user manuals, and be responsible for deployment with mentoring. These applications are often for supporting IT, engineering, field, and transmission operations functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems; or (2) years of professional software development experience, including experience in targeted environment, languages, and databases, as identified in job posting supplement, or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and maintain application components, user interfaces, database objects, reports, and integrations based on functional and technical requirements with detailed supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with guidance and mentorship from more experienced team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver quality results in a timely manner with detailed supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers requirements, designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains existing and future in-house corporate, IT, engineering, and transmission operations software.
  • Adheres to software project lifecycles utilizing approved development and project management methodologies with mentoring.
  • Creates design and user documentation with mentoring.
  • Proactively monitors system stability and performance to address issues.
  • Participates in the team rotation of 24/7 support to troubleshoot and resolve critical software application issues as required.
  • Manages IT expectations by providing status updates, input and alternatives for business processes, security considerations and infrastructure impacts of assignments with mentoring.
  • Contributes to the improvement of departmental standards, processes, and procedures.
