About The Position

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is hiring a Software Developer I for its Corporate IT team. The role works closely with stakeholders, product owners, and agile team members to understand business requirements and help analyze and design quality technical solutions. The developer builds defined features, writes tests, and participates fully in the agile process and the software development life cycle. The position is based at one of the company’s offices in Canton, Massachusetts; Boston, Massachusetts; Farmington, Connecticut; or Raleigh, North Carolina, with a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, a degree from a technical school, or equivalent work experience; on-the-job training is also recognized.
1–3 years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in Property Casualty or Specialty Insurance.

Responsibilities

Contribute to discussions with product owners and agile team members to understand business requirements.
Participate in the software development life cycle for the company’s software solutions.
Assist with analysis and design recommendations.
Participate in coding, testing, and implementation efforts.

Convert user stories into programmable solutions.
