Software Developers create intuitive, data-driven solutions that help Midco work more efficiently. The role works across departments to solve business challenges and drive innovation. The Software Developer I develops, maintains, and tests software systems—including websites, applications, and APIs—with moderate support and guidance. The position participates in software design and requirements gathering, writes and modifies program code, and develops user-centric solutions informed by business data and processes. It also collaborates with other departments and IT teams, including Server Administration and Data Engineering, and follows Midco privacy guidelines, policies, and procedures. The posting also describes qualifications for Software Developer II and Software Developer III. Software Developer II requires three years of programming and front-end development experience in specified technologies. Software Developer III requires five years of such experience and includes mentoring less-tenured developers. The work environment may involve extended periods sitting or remaining stationary, time-sensitive deadlines, and working more than 40 hours per week. Physical demands may include occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, repetitive keyboard and mouse use, and remaining at a desk or workstation for long periods. The role also calls for breaking down complex problems, making data-informed decisions, understanding user needs, collaborating across teams, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
