About The Position
The Social Worker is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team at Samaritan Hospital, working with adults with a wide range of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work.
- New York State LMSW or LCSW licensure.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical, psychiatric, or health care setting.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat psychological, behavioral, and emotional disorders.
- Provide specialized skills and mental health therapy for clients.
- Identify barriers that impact optimal patient functioning.
- Ensure patients receive appropriate resources in the most appropriate setting.
- Provide individual therapy and group therapy.
- Participate in treatment planning, case coordination, and community collaboration as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
