About The Position

Replit is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead its social media marketing program. This role is crucial for Replit's go-to-market strategy, driving brand awareness, user acquisition, product discovery, and community trust. The ideal candidate will define the brand's voice, manage owned channels across platforms like X, Meta, and TikTok, and develop engaging content. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of software development, collaborating closely with Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Creative teams. The role is best suited for individuals who are active on social media platforms and are motivated by building a lasting presence rather than just achieving viral moments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of social media experience at a high-growth B2C or beloved consumer tech company, with a clear track record of growing accounts from early stage.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving fast with imperfect information.
  • AI-native with a demonstrated track record of growing accounts (personal or brand) in the AI or consumer space; a portfolio showcasing voice, instincts, and results is required.
  • Elite copywriting skills: concise, witty, well-timed, and capable of creating memes without being cringe.
  • Deep platform fluency across X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Reddit, including organic growth tactics.
  • Strong narrative instincts to identify compelling angles and build upon them.
  • Genuine curiosity about agentic AI tools and hands-on experience using them to scale workflows.
  • Experience managing rapid response and social media crises, maintaining a calm and strategic approach under pressure.

  • Short-form video creation and production experience.

  • Existing relationships with AI influencers, journalists, podcasters, or community leaders.
  • Experience at a B2C tech or early-stage startup.
  • Based in or able to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Replit's social voice, content pillars, and channel strategy across all social channels.
  • Execute launches and multi-week arcs (product, research, ecosystem, partnerships) with clear goals and measurable outputs.
  • Manage engagement, including replies, quote tweets, and relationship-building with major accounts, builders, and media.
  • Write engaging posts, threads, memes, and explainer content that makes complex ideas exciting and accessible.
  • Collaborate with marketing, comms, product, sales, engineering, and legal teams to ensure accuracy, timing, and risk control.
  • Track performance metrics (impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, clickthrough, sentiment) and adjust strategy weekly.
  • Monitor AI narratives, respond quickly to FUD and misinformation, and coordinate internally on sensitive topics.
