This is a NON-PAID philanthropic board member position for a Social Media Executive on our Board of Directors. This role is for an executive who wants to give back and has likely experienced the cancer journey with a friend or loved one. Nonprofit board members contribute their time, talent, and treasure. We have a "working board," meaning board members are involved in operations, donating an average of 5 hours per week. There is a donation requirement because funders require our board to be donors before they will provide grants. The ideal candidate understands how to leverage social media to develop communities of support, integrated media, and effectively use all major social media platform tools. The goal is to increase awareness and engagement with those needing our services, improve donations, attract volunteers, increase participation in online care communities, connect with influencers, and build an engaged community of support. Understanding social media groups and how to leverage them to build members into our online care communities is essential.
