Nonprofit Board of Directors Fundraising
About The Position
This is a non-paid philanthropic board member position focused on leading fundraising efforts in conjunction with the CEO. This role is for an executive who wishes to give back, potentially having personal experience with the cancer journey. Board members are expected to contribute time, talent, and treasure, with an average commitment of 5 hours per week. A donation requirement exists due to funder stipulations for grant applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in asking for gifts, understanding donor cultivation through email campaigns, identifying major donors, and requesting gifts of $1,000 or more. Existing connections are highly desirable. Experience with the Wealth Screening database and the DonorPerfect platform is a plus, as is experience with event planning and execution. Grant writing experience is also beneficial. The role requires the candidate to be located in the Los Angeles area. Flexible work from home options are available.
