This is a NON-PAID philanthropic board member position for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This role is purely philanthropic and is intended for an executive who wishes to give back, particularly if they have personal experience with the cancer journey of a friend or loved one. Nonprofit board members contribute their time, talent, and treasure. This is a 'working board,' meaning members are actively involved in operations, donating approximately 5 hours per week. A donation requirement exists because funders, including grant foundations, mandate that the board be donors before grants are provided. The organization is seeking a CTO to elevate a nimble nonprofit with an essential and noble purpose to its next level of success. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating effective, efficient, and innovative software built on a solid foundation, enjoys collaborating with developers and stakeholders to understand product vision and status, and excels at improving software development processes. Experience in building and driving effective processes within a technology organization and a talent for solving challenging software architecture problems to enhance efficiency are highly valued. The role also involves collaboration with two Chief Information Security Officers on the board.
