Social Media & Events Coordinator

WESTFALIA TECHNOLOGIES INCYork, PA
Onsite

About The Position

The Social Media & Events Coordinator executes Westfalia Technologies’ daily social media presence and supports the Director of Marketing across tradeshow, event, and promotional programs. This role bridges content distribution and event logistics — adapting approved assets for each platform, managing the content calendar, engaging audiences, and coordinating the operational details that make events run on time and on budget. A design background is required; the Coordinator is expected to produce brand-compliant creative every day without significant revision. The role suits an organized, self-directed marketing generalist who manages multiple concurrent deadlines and moves projects forward with light direction.

Requirements

  • Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Express — or demonstrated equivalent; portfolio showing brand-applied social creative, layout, or collateral required.
  • Hands-on experience managing business social media accounts with demonstrated LinkedIn depth; familiarity with native platform analytics tools and at least one social media management platform.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including proofreading for grammar, clarity, and brand voice consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent deadlines across content and event workstreams without dropping commitments; this role requires sustained, proactive deadline ownership across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and event registration platforms preferred.
  • Initiative and creativity with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver’s license required; must meet rental vehicle eligibility requirements for business travel and be fit for commercial air travel.
  • Degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field required; a design-focused background or design coursework is a non-negotiable component of this role — equivalent professional design experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience across marketing, social media, or design.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting tradeshows, events, or conferences.

Nice To Haves

  • Photography and video capture experience; comfort operating a camera in manual mode with basic lighting and audio setup.
  • Video editing in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or an equivalent NLE, with short-form vertical content experience a plus.
  • Motion graphics or animation capability.
  • Background in B2B marketing or the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, SEO fundamentals, and content management platforms.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus.
  • Exposure to website content management and email marketing platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operation of Westfalia’s social media accounts across LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — publishing, monitoring, audience engagement, and routing comments or messages that require Sales or leadership input.
  • Builds and maintains the social content calendar, sequencing posts against campaign, product, and event timelines; meets publishing deadlines consistently and proactively flags scheduling conflicts.
  • Adapts photography, video, and design assets into platform-correct sizes, aspect ratios, and specifications; produces social graphics and design layouts from established Westfalia brand templates; owns paid social placements, including audience setup, asset trafficking, budget pacing, and performance reporting; applies brand standards to every published asset.
  • Writes, edits, and proofreads post copy, captions, and hashtag sets in alignment with Westfalia brand voice and messaging standards.
  • Tracks engagement, reach, and audience growth across channels; delivers monthly performance reports with observations and recommendations — not raw data alone.
  • Coordinates logistics for tradeshows, conferences, and customer-facing events — including registration, booth services, freight, vendor management, travel and lodging for the event team, VIP hospitality, booth staffing, and on-site setup and teardown; maintains the annual event calendar and a per-show task timeline with documented cutoff dates and deliverable owners.
  • Executes pre-show, at-show, and post-show social promotion; tracks event spend against budget, reconciles invoices, and documents outcomes for post-show review; escalates budget variances promptly.
  • Maintains the marketing asset library with consistent organization, tagging, and accessibility standards so approved creative is easy to find and reuse.
  • Other duties as assigned.
