About The Position

The Social Media Content Specialist develops and executes digital content plans that advance clients’ communications goals, working with Liftoff’s communications, creative, and digital teams. The role writes social media copy, video scripts, and other digital content tailored to each client’s voice, audience, and platforms; manages content calendars and publishing; and creates graphics and edits short-form videos. The Specialist turns speeches, interviews, press coverage, policy announcements, and campaign moments into digital content, identifies timely opportunities in news and online conversations, and helps clients reach audiences through creators, podcasts, and other nontraditional channels. The role coordinates approvals and client feedback, monitors account activity, tracks content performance, and recommends improvements to content and publishing strategy. It also supports content capture at events and on the campaign trail, with occasional travel as needed, and collaborates across teams so organic content supports earned media, fundraising, and broader campaign objectives. The position calls for political commitment, strong writing and editing, platform and analytics experience, creative production skills, careful organization, and flexibility when breaking news or client needs require work beyond standard hours.
