About The Position

The Social Connection Coordinator supports the YMCA’s efforts to reduce social isolation and loneliness among older adults by creating meaningful opportunities for social engagement and community connection. The role plans and coordinates monthly First Friday social events and other activities, develops partnerships with community organizations, supports outreach and participant recruitment, coordinates volunteers, and gathers participant feedback to evaluate program impact. The position requires availability for monthly evening and occasional weekend events.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Availability for monthly evening and occasional weekend events.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, or public health is preferred.
• Familiarity with chronic disease prevention programs is a plus.

Responsibilities
