About The Position

The Snow Technician travels to client sites to remove snow and ice safely and promptly. This is an on-call seasonal position expected to last from November 15 to April 15. Technicians must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week when snow or ice events occur. The role is based on site in Harrison, Ohio, with travel to client locations and travel expectations of up to 25%. The position involves outdoor work in extreme cold, snow, and ice, as well as repetitive physical activity, including pushing, lifting, and carrying snow. Wages start at $19–$21 per hour based on experience, with the potential for additional snow-event pay. There may be an opportunity to continue working with the Landscape team in the spring. Requirements

Be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, when snow or ice events occur.
Have reliable transportation.
Work outdoors regularly in extreme cold, snow, and ice conditions.
Push and lift snow while performing repetitive physical movements.
Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events.
Clear snow from customer sites in designated areas and pile it only in designated, approved locations.
Operate vehicles and equipment safely, responsibly, and efficiently.
Control ice accumulations at job sites using de-icing agents safely and responsibly, including salt, treated salt, liquids, or other de-icing chemicals.
Hand-shovel, use snow blowers, or hand-treat areas as needed, including walkways, doorways, and areas around fire equipment.
Follow Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
Submit paperwork and documentation promptly at the end of each shift, and document and report obstacles at job sites.
