SMTS Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•San Diego, CA

About The Position

AMD is hiring SMTS Silicon Design Engineers to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role leads definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development, including architecture and logic design, system simulation, and definition of module interfaces and simulation formats. It involves developing multidimensional designs and complex integrated-circuit layouts, evaluating the process flow from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use, and applying engineering principles and technologies to AMD product design, development, and testing. The engineer works with cross-functional teams on significant technical issues, drives projects or processes of technical importance, and exercises independent judgment with little to no supervision. Travel is not required. This posting is for an existing vacancy, with multiple openings.
