SMTS Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

AMD, Inc. is hiring an SMTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role leads definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development, including architecture and logic design, system simulation, and module interfaces for simulation. It also leads development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts and evaluates the process flow from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams on ASIC and layout design, addresses significant and unique technical issues, and drives projects or processes of significant technical importance. The role exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria with little to no supervision. It applies knowledge of computers, electronics, engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products and to advancing company objectives. No travel is required. This posting is for an existing vacancy, with multiple openings.
