Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•San Diego, CA

About The Position

AMD is hiring a Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role involves applying knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to the design, development, and testing of AMD products. The engineer performs definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development; determines architecture and logic designs; and conducts system simulations. Responsibilities may also include defining module interfaces and simulation formats, contributing to complex integrated-circuit layout, and evaluating the process flow from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power analysis. The engineer debugs and executes verification tests and analyzes simulations. Work is on problems of moderate scope, under supervision and within defined company procedures and practices.
