About The Position

AMD, Inc. is hiring a Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role applies knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to the design, development, and testing of AMD products. Responsibilities include ASIC definition, design, verification, and documentation; architecture and logic design; system simulation; and defining module interfaces and formats for simulation. The engineer also contributes to multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts and evaluates the process flow from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The position addresses problems of moderate scope that require analysis of a variety of factors. Under supervision, the engineer exercises limited judgment within company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria. Multiple openings are available. No travel is required. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
