About The Position

The Slot Technician repairs slot machines and other gaming-related equipment, performs general maintenance, and carries out machine installation, movement, denomination changes, and game changes as directed by management. The role performs tests and checks to identify the causes of reported machine problems and follows company safety standards while completing repairs. The employee follows Hard Rock policies, procedures, internal controls, courtesy guidelines, and state gaming regulations; safeguards assigned company assets; and adheres to department and property procedures. The position also requires maintaining knowledge of property information and memorabilia, representing Hard Rock Biloxi positively with guests, coworkers, managers, and vendors, and upholding the company mission and values. Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and a variety of software applications.
Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Hard Rockers and guests.
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely and to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, and regulations.
Ability to effectively analyze and solve problems.
Basic knowledge of mathematics, including statistics.
Professional and positive image, high energy level, good judgment, and common sense.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to set priorities for oneself and others.
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and professionally.

Responsibilities

Follow Hard Rock policies, procedures, internal controls, and courtesy guidelines, and perform duties in accordance with state gaming regulations.
Repair slot machines and other gaming-related equipment.
Perform general maintenance as assigned or according to established procedures.
Install and move slot machines and change their denominations and games as directed by management.
Safeguard assigned company assets.
Take necessary precautions to maintain company safety standards while repairing equipment.
Perform tests and checks on specific machines to determine causes of problems reported by management or slot floor personnel.
Adhere to department and property policies and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
Represent Hard Rock Biloxi positively with guests, coworkers, managers, and vendors, and uphold the company mission and values.
