The Slot Attendant assists casino customers with jammed machines, jackpot payouts, machine fills, slot machine pay tables, and obtaining change or bills that work in bill validators. The role provides customer service and maintains effective working relationships with customers and team members. Duties must comply with Colorado Gaming ICMPs and other applicable municipal, state, and federal laws and regulations governing casino operations. A valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License is required, and employees must be at least 18 years of age. The position handles and documents jackpots, machine fills, machine access, money, and slot-machine security. It also supports change staff with bank reconciliation, verifies transactions for other slot-floor personnel, and may provide backup to casino staff. Employees are responsible for following safety and security procedures, remaining alert to casino operations, and enforcing age restrictions for gambling and alcohol consumption, including checking identification and attending annual retraining. Work takes place primarily indoors among large numbers of people, often in loud or high-noise areas; some indoor locations are heavily filled with cigarette smoke. The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. Physical duties include frequent brisk walking and standing throughout a shift, along with climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, twisting, and other exertion. The employee regularly lifts or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally 200 pounds or more. A standard workweek with additional hours on a routine basis is expected.
