About The Position

This role involves setting up equipment for startup, removing heads, and chiseling cheek bones both inside and out. The position requires adherence to safety, food safety, and company policies. Responsibilities include monitoring the production area for debris, performing minor equipment maintenance, and various other tasks as assigned. The job also requires cleaning the work area at the end of the shift, including sweeping and spraying. The role demands the ability to work in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours, and to perform tasks such as standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting for 8-hour periods on a concrete floor.

Requirements

Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Must not have more than 4 attendance occurrences (Internal).
Must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months (Internal).
Must be in your current position for a minimum of six (6) months unless this job is a higher class than you currently hold (Internal).
This position is slated only for TMs from the Newbern Facility.
Must have at least 6 Continuous Employments in the last 18 Months (External).
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Preferred Candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant Machine Operator; Warehouse Agricultural or production experience.

Responsibilities

Set up equipment in preparation for startup.
Remove heads from viscera pan and chisel both cheek bones inside and out.
Set up area with all needed equipment.
Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
Clean up area at end of production shift, including sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
Perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
