About The Position

This role is responsible for setting up equipment for startup, and performing the task of removing heads and chiseling both cheek bones inside and out. The position requires adherence to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. The individual will be responsible for removing heads from the viscera pan and chiseling both cheek bones inside and out. This includes setting up the area with all necessary equipment, monitoring the production area for trash and food debris on the floor, and performing minor maintenance on equipment. Various other tasks may be assigned by lead personnel, supervisors, or superintendents. The job requires the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and work on and around machinery and chemicals. Cleaning the work area at the end of the production shift, including sweeping and picking up debris, is also a key responsibility. The role involves performing tasks for 8 hours on a concrete floor, which may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Additionally, the position requires working in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Internal candidates must not have more than 4 attendance occurrences.
  • Internal candidates must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months.
  • Internal candidates must be in their current position for a minimum of six (6) months unless this job is a higher class than they currently hold.
  • This position is slated only for TMs from the Newbern Facility.
  • External candidates must have at least 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant Machine Operator, Warehouse Agricultural or production experience.
