About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles in a high-tech Inspection Center. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including heavy engine work, advanced electrical issues, electric and hybrid vehicles, wheel bearings and axles, and climate control systems. Starting pay is $26 per hour, with a stated range of $26–$41 per hour based on technician level. The position is based at the inspection center at 63 Western Ave, Framingham, MA 01702. Two shifts are offered: first shift, Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m.; second shift, Monday–Thursday, 6 p.m.–5 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana provides state-of-the-art tools and offers training programs for employees in entry-level positions to support skill and pay progression. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including issues involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
Complete repairs involving wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
